I’m in London for the Peter O’Toole Memorial tomorrow, recovering from not sleeping on an overnight flight and $175 cab ride from the airport. (I know, get an Oyster card, take the Tube – I was too tired) Meanwhile back in New York, Julien’s Auction house is holding their Music Icons, Legends and Rebels Auction online today. There’s ton’s of signed stuff from Madonna, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, you name it but it starts off with Michael Jackson. From The Jackson Five, through Off The Wall, Thriller, up to Time and Us magazine covers, Liz, Michael’s women and even a crystal glove estimated at $30-50,000. It’s so much fun to look, even if you aren’t interested in buying. These pop culture touchstones are preserved by the masters touch. And further proof that Michael’s biggest wish came true. He’s a legend now, right up there with Liz, Elvis and Marilyn.
