I’m officially old. I’ve never even HEARD of Crazy Hair Days at school. In my day, God forbid you should come to school with… say… a poodle perm – or a bit of Dippity Doo in your hair – why, you’d be instantly cast into the dreaded Spit Pit and covered in the salvia of a hundred bullies. TRUE STORY! There was no CELEBRATING creative hairdos in my day. No, no, no. Hair was meant to be feathered and left alone, by gum. Creative hair was the devil’s handiwork.
But apparently the world has changed. According to Bored Panda:
Crazy hair day is a great just-for-fun celebration that schools and other institutions that work with kids love to throw to let kids (and their parents) express their wild side a bit. On Crazy Hair Day, kits are encouraged to come in with the wackiest and most creative hair design that they can possibly imagine – hair gel, hair color and even toys are all fair game.
