On last night’s Last Week with John Oliver, he tackled one of the most boring but most important issue of our times: Net neutrality. Basically, net neutrality is what keeps the cable companies from creating a “fast lane” for them and a “slow lane” for everyone else on the internet. Which is basically the end of the web as we know it. Watch John Oliver’s excellent explanation below. His solution? Get the worst internet trolls on the job.
“This is the moment you were made for, commenters,” Oliver said.
And apparently it’s working. Update from Mashable: “John Oliver asked for the trolls, and the trolls obliged. A day after a segment on Last Week Tonight featured Oliver putting out the bat signal for Internet trolls, the Federal Communications Commission website has been deluged by comments. The site is experiencing intermittent outages.
