Do you sometimes find yourself watching Game of Thrones and wishing it had more musical numbers? Well, ABC has answered your prayers with Galavant, a musical comedy fairy tale series coming this summer. From this trailer, it looks to be part Monty Python, part Princess Bride, part Into the Woods and COMPLETELY CHARMING. The musical numbers are all written by the legendary Alan Menken, best known, of course, for his Disney scores (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted, Pocahontas etc etc etc), so it’s got quite an impressive pedigree. Also of interest: It stars Vinnie Jones, of Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Smoking Barrel fame, who’s usually the best part of any production he’s in.
