I’m sure you’re not reading it here first (and if you are, you need some better news sources) but hold the phone, stop the presses, Katie bar the door – George Clooney is engaged! He has supposedly proposed to British attorney Amal Alamuddin, according to People. When news broke that they started dating last fall, one assumed she was yet another in a long line of “girlfriends” in the serial dater’s string. But the most eligible, confirmed bachelor on the planet reportedly proposed to the 36-year-old British lawyer, who specializes in international law and human rights, after just six months of dating. News of the impending nuptials started to burn up gossip lines after Amal was spotted wearing an engagement ring while she was out to dinner with the couple’s friends, supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber. You know Clooney was previously married, to Talia Balsam and has since had much-publicized relationships with Sarah Larson, Elisabetta Canalis and Stacy Keibler. We shall see if this pans out.
