RuPaul’s Drag Race season seven seven standout Kennedy Davenport needs your help. She has 45 days to make a balloon payment of $33,000 on the mortgage for her her family’s home or she will lose it. She writes:
If there is one thing I have learned during my career, whether it was my first few years learning the ropes or in my newly found fame, it is that I truly have the most amazing and sincere fans! So, it is today that I make a very humbling plea to all of you. I will attempt to make a long story short. As many of you know, my father passed away, and as this was an unexpected event, he unfortunately did not have a Will prepared. I spent a year cooperating with the process of probate on our childhood home left behind, all the while making monthly mortgage payments. The bind that I am now currently facing, is that the mortgage company has decided I can no longer continue on a payment plan system; instead, I must make a final “balloon” payment of $33,000 or I will lose the house my sisters, nieces, and myself depend upon calling our home. Now I have never been one to ask for a handout, and I always do whatever it takes to ensure that my family is taken care of, but I am at the end of a rope as I only have the next 45 days to come up with the money. This not only effects me, but 5 other members of my family. So to my thousands of fans out there in cyber-world, if you can spare even a few dollars to assist me during this setback I would be grateful beyond measure! You all are my lifeline, and remember God is good, all the time…all the time, God is good.
