Lisa and Harry were supposed to be punk icons Sid & Nancy, and although they they claimed they were recreating a classic 1978 pic of the couple, his getup managed to piss off a lot of people. Lisa says they were just trying to be authentic and didn’t mean to offend anybody – but REALLY. It’s 2015. Everything offends everybody. How could NOBODY have told them to rethink the Nazi regalia? Interestingly, TMZ points out, even the 1986 biopic “Sid and Nancy” avoided this kind of PR nightmare — replacing the Nazi symbol with the Soviet hammer and sickle.
