Dame Helen Mirren has officially declared her days of on-screen nudity to be OVER. “From now on,” she tells Alan Cumming in a CBS interview, “my pleasure pillows are purely for my husband.”
“That’s the good thing about getting older,” the still-gorgeous 70-year-old says. “You don’t have to do that sort of thing any more.”
Of course, she has spent a good deal of her career being nude on camera.
“I was doing nude scenes [from] the first moment I started doing movies. . . . It was the era. . . . It seemed to be nothing to get your knickers in a twist over.”
“Does it really matter?” she remembers thinking when she was first asked about appearing topless.
And nowadays, it’s REALLY no big deal, she says. “Now, with Game of Thrones,” Mirren observes, “it’s on at eight P.M. and everything’s a sex scene.”
