A new extended trailer for the Amy Winehouse documentary was released earlier this week, showing clips of Amy with her friends and ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Amy’s family have already spoken out against the film calling it misleading, and her ex Reg Traviss wrote a vehement article for the telegraph describing the doc as an orchestrated spin that didn’t capture her true character.
“Amy was a real person, and what the documentary makers have done – like so many others before them – is effectively attack her. They claimed to have made a serious, unbiased documentary that presents an honest depiction of Amy. “Amy” premiered at Cannes this week and will be released in theaters on Friday, July 3rd.
