Buffy The Vampire Slayer actor Nicholas Brendon was arrested Friday in a Tallahassee, Florida, hotel on charges of criminal mischief and property damage. It’s was his third arrest in five months, poor little guy.
According to CNN, police found Brendon “in a state of confusion” wearing crotchless, poop-covered pajamas, after having gone on a hotel room rampage which caused untold damage to hotel property.
Says E! News:
The manager at the front desk told an officer … that Brendon had taken pills and alcohol and was walking around the hotel with blood on him and his clothes torn and wet from a toilet he says the actor had caused to overflow. During their conversation, Brendon arrived, wearing a T-shirt and pajama pants that had a crotch tear, the report stated.
[…] “I observed him with toothpaste all over his face and shirt, his pants were torn, he had defecated on himself and his pajama pants were wet below the knees,” the officer wrote in the report.
Brendon, in an exclusive interview with the Tallahassee Democrat, characterized the incident as a “blackout” after taking nine sleeping pills.
He said he has been dealing with depression off and on and “I stopped taking my meds a while ago, which was a mistake,” Brendon said. “It culminated yesterday with my taking some sleeping pills and then going into a blackout.”
He was arrested last month in Fort Lauderdale on similar charges after he damaged a hotel room there. He said he would seek help after a similar October arrest in an Idaho hotel.
Here’s hoping he gets the help he needs ASAP.

Brandon spoke to TMZ about battling depression as a result of childhood sexual abuse that he experienced. “It’s just something you’re embarrassed of. I’ve never really talked about it. And if something good can come out of this, then I can talk to people about it and help people out and change my behavior and that’d be great. When the depression comes, you try to block it out any way you possibly can. There’s a better way to do it, and I think first of all we need to start talking about it…. It’s time to stop thinking it’s embarrassing. Because my ACTIONS are more than embarrassing.”
