It’s a reboot-a-thon! Star Wars is being revived by director JJ Abrams and now Disney might just be reviving the Indiana Jones franchise, after buying the rights from Paramount in 2013. According to Deadline, “things are very early”, but they hear the studio has it’s eyes on Chris Pratt in the role made famous by Harrison Ford in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Mr. Pratt leapfrogged from the small screen into leading-man movie status last year in Guardians Of The Galaxy, for Marvel and Disney. He begins filming The Magnificent Seven with Denzel Washington (and one imagines 5 others) in April plus there’s the all but inevitable Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel. (Not to mention The Lego movie, where he’s just a voice but still the lead) Disney’s not commenting but it’s such a good idea, we can see it happening. He’s got the right mix of sexy and snark for the part. (via Deadline)
