Creepy/hot whiz kid Magnus Carlsen, who was named the new chess World Champion last year, stars with the equally wonky beauty Lily Cole in the new campaign for G-Star RAW. In the ad, Magnus and Lily face off in a game of chess surrounded by concrete and steel and a few hundred doppelgangers, and I’m insisting you watch so you can have an opinion at cocktail parties when people ask you if Magnus is hot or not. Then watch him SMASH his opponent during a game of Blitz chess (second video). And just for good measure, watch him in his 2013 60 Minutes profile, by which point, I’m pretty sure you’ll be smitten. A little freaked out by his otherworldly abilities (I think he might actually be one of those big-headed aliens from Star Trek), but definitely smitten. (via Daily Mail)
