Another tibit from the latest Julien’s Auction House upcoming sale… it’ not a recent letter, but I’m curious to see what it sells for. From the auction catalogue:
“Letter handwritten on Stardust Hotel stationery from Woody Allen to Mia Farrow containing eight black and white original vintage photographs taken by Woody Allen with annotations on verso. Letter reads in full, ‘Enclosed are some rare photos I took just before giving up photography. I love you, For further proof of this please get in touch with me upon your return. xxx W.’ One photograph is of Allen’s The Front (Columbia Pictures, 1976) co-star Zero Mostel. From the collection of Mia Farrow.”
SO many follow up questions that we’ll never know the answers to. There are other letters and photos in the auction from Frank Sinatra, who Mia was married to, so you wonder who is auctioning these artifacts off. You can be pretty sure it’s not Mia.
