Poor Heidi Montag. Hoping against hope that her new gig as celebrity spokeswoman for New Zealand’s Sealord frozen seafood would put her BACK ON TOP of the Hollywood A List. Alas, it was not to be. She was unceremoniously dumped after viewers balked at her first commercial. The 30-second ad featured Heidi asking New Zealanders what they thought of Sealord’s fish fillets from the freezer. On the company’s Facebook page, dozens of Kiwis slammed Sealord for using a “plastic” celebrity little known in this country.
The company reacted quickly and canned her ass. On its Facebook page the ad was being replaced with a different version which cuts all scenes of Montag.”We heard you NZ! You told us that you loved our REAL fish but not Heidi Montag. So, we listened and changed our TV Ad to star only REAL people.”
