Vogue’s Anna Wintour and the First Lady
On Wednesday, a gang of top American designers went to the White House’s Fashion Education Workshop. First Lady Michelle Obama hosted wearing a dress by FIT grad Natalya Koval, the winner of a design competition associated with the workshop. Michelle Obama joked;
“I mean, come on. You’re in the White House. There are some of the most impressive people in fashion here to teach you all and to reach out and to mentor you. And there’s food. What more could you ask for?”
Indeed. They were all invited as mentors to students from Parsons, FIT, and the Pratt Institute. Guests were Vogue‘s Anna Wintour designers Diane von Furstenberg, Narciso Rodriguez, Jenna Lyons, Prabal Gurung, Phillip Lim, Thom Browne, Zac Posen and many others. Zac Posen shared pics of their day on Instagram.
