Oddly enough, I just watched Heidi over the weekend. TCM was having a Shirley Temple marathon, which is not really my thing, you know. I’d rather shove an oyster fork up my ass than sit through “Animal Crackers.” But I had a wicked hangover and was unable to lift my fingers to change the channel. So I suffered through. Weird then that I saw this video this morning. Three aging German milkmaids yodeling about Heidi in an old disco song. Like the universe is trying to tell me something. Something about… the Alps? Tyrolean fashions? Am I supposed to be doing a Heidi transformation? Give up the glamorous life of blogging and become a milkmaid? Not sure, but the video is mesmerizing. Monumental kitsch. Watch it below. It’ll give you that same foggy, clammy, headachey, wtf-has-my-life-come-to? feeling that I had when I watched the movie yesterday. You’ll love it. (via Lady Bunny)
