After radiotherapy, chemotherapy, molecular therapy, and stem cell therapy caused several skin conditions and a partial disappearance of the pigment in Adam Curlykale’ skin, he says he had problems accepting himself. He became depressed, suffered from eating disorders, and even contemplated suicide.
Luckily, he says, tattoos saved him.
He decided to tattoo his entire body a graphite color, dye his eyebrows, beard and hair white, and wear colored contact lenses to look like a negative version of himself.
“Tattoos allowed me to discover myself again. I became beautiful to myself,” Curlykale said. “I design my tattoos because it’s my body. I have a specific vision for myself and I do it step by step. Life is so short that I stopped wondering what will happen tomorrow. Life is here and now.”
And to the haters and non-supporters of his vision?
“I’ll die fulfilled, as someone who wasn’t afraid to take chances, someone who lived regardless of other’s opinion but in harmony with himself,” he concluded.
Gorgeous.
