Here we go… I’ve kept this a secret for a REALLY LONG TIME but…I wrote a book! And it’s now available for pre-orders! For the past 10 years I’ve been teaching myself how to sell. I never had a boss or a mentor or formal sales training. I’ve built my career as a salesperson from the ground up, and it has NOT been easy – but I’ve learned a LOT. From my first day in the real estate business in September 2008, as the country was entering a recession, I kept notes. I took notes about the process and the psychology of the deals I worked on. I kept notes on what worked and didn’t work and now insane some of my clients were. I keep notes on how to negotiate, how to pitch. I kept notes on how to manage the emotional roller coaster our clients go on (and we as salespeople go on too). I kept notes on how to structure your day, how to build a team, how to build a brand, how to sell MORE in a business that is so focused on selling one thing at a time. I’ve been writing this book for almost a year, and instead of talking about it publicly the entire time, I kept a video diary.
