Donald Trump has bullied and feuded with Rosie O’Donnell since 2006, when she called him a ”snake oil salesman” during a segment of The View, where she was briefly one of the co-hosts. He responded by threatening to sue her.
For years, Trump has called O’Donnell a “loser”, “fat pig”, and an “animal”, even bringing up O’Donnell’s appearance in the primary debates during the 2016 presidential campaign.
For her part O’Donnell has tweeted criticism of POTUS with some regularity, and she sells homemade anti-Trump art on Etsy and her first round sold out completely. I am glad that O’Donnell is busy crafting because I worry about her health while POTUS remains in office. I think he may have done this whole election thing just to try and kill her.
Her Etsy listing explains that she began doodling images of “Trump and his regime” on her iPhone. All of the money earned will be matched and donated to candidates and causes that oppose Trump, and O’Donnell said she will keep making the art until he leaves office.
The comic, actor, author, television personality, magazine editor, blogger, LGBTQ Rights activist, producer, and gay family vacation expert, is taking on her first dramatic television series role in the Showtime series SMILF. The show takes on topics of motherhood and mental illness. O’Donnell plays a working-class mother and grandmother living in Boston. Based on Mr. Robot actor Frankie Shaw‘s Sundance short film of the same name, SMILF is about a young single mother working and growing in the predominantly Irish Catholic neighborhood of South Boston. It is darkly funny and bittersweet.
