We can’t ignore the issues of gun control that this tragedy raises. And so, I’m asking – no, demanding – we take action now.

Parkland shooting survivor Cameron Kasky is one of hundreds participating and leading the March For Our Lives in Washington (and nationwide).

Today at 10:00 am PST students, teachers and allies will march out in demand that politicians take the mass shooting epidemic seriously. The 17 minute protest is to pressure Congress to approve gun control legislation. On the east coast many students have already began the protest –

Hundreds of students sat in the middle of West 62nd street for several minutes before the crowd rose to their feet and shouted, “No more violence.” A cry of “Trump Tower!” sent dozens of protesters marching toward the Trump International Hotel and Tower across Broadway. Onlookers gave them fist-bumps. (NYTimes)
