Sotheby’s is auctioning off an undergarment once worn by Russell Crowe that’s technically being referred to as a “vintage boxer protector” but looks like a used leather jockstrap to me. He wore it in the 2005 film, Cinderella Man,
… in the scene depicting the Heavy Weight Championship bout, James J. Braddock vs. Max Baer on 13 June 1935, brown suede leather with elastic support,” the official description states.
It’s estimated to fetch in the neighborhood of $500-600, with the highest bidder receiving a letter from Russell Crowe stating his ownership.

The sale represents the dispersal of a highly personal collection that was assembled by Crowe over many years, including those shared with his former wife, Danielle Spencer.
