We’re excited to announce the recipients of this year’s Beauty Bus Foundation 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award are none other than beauty industry icons and longtime friends of WOW Tish & Snooky of Manic Panic! Condragulations, ladies!

Their generosity of spirit and support of so many charitable causes speak to their amazing characters. The company they founded 40 years ago, MANIC PANIC, is still privately women-owned and operated. Today, Tish and Snooky work tirelessly and with boundless energy on their business, as well as in support of giving to others less fortunate.
We are writing to ask you to support Tish and Snooky, and Beauty Bus Foundation, by lending your name to Beauty Drive. As Tish and Snooky have said: “Life should be colorful ‘till the end!” – and that is what Beauty Bus is all about. Beauty Bus was founded in memory of Melissa Marantz Nealy, who lost her battle to a degenerative neuromuscular disease when she was 28, Melissa said the beauty treatments she received when she was sick made her “feel human again.”
As Badass Boomers, Tish and Snooky understand too well the power of Beauty Bus, given their battle together against Snooky’s breast cancer. Snooky has said that when her “hair grew back after treatment, I colored it purple, because violet is the ultimate healing color and to express my gratitude and joy of life.” Those moments of dignity – and finding beauty even in tragedy – are at the core of Beauty Bus.
Beauty Bus is a Los Angeles based non-profit that delivers dignity through beauty services and compassionate support to chronically and terminally ill patients and their caregivers. We have delivered over 15,000 free services to men, women and children – in their homes and in hospitals from City of Hope to UCLA to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Beauty Bus has also donated over 45,000 Bags of Beauty, filled with full-sized donated products so the pampering can continue after the visit. Our oldest client is 101 – and our youngest client is 1!!
