Earlier in the week, Justin released a western-themed video teaser to his upcoming album Man in the Woods, filled with lush, back-to-nature imagery and homey aphorisms, saying things like “This album was inspired by my son, my wife and my family…” Aww. It’s Daddy Justin showing off his new-found maturity!
Today. he dropped his first video called “Filthy” and filled it with a sexy dancing robot and a bunch of Asian strippers.
Um, what?
Talk about your bait and switch. But the song is pure vintage Justin, in the “Sexy Back” mode. And like “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” I’m sure I’ll sing it all day at work and drive everybody crazy, then suddenly decide I HATE IT, then grudgingly return to it a few months later.

My co-worker Chelsea has decided this is the first in a series of Justin videos in which he begins as his old self and over the course of many songs, becomes more introspective. Eventually, he returns to the woods to commune with nature and self-actualize with his wife and child. All the while wearing a fashionable blanket in the snow.
We shall see.
